Renee Paquette asks how he will find three partners tonight, when he has made so many enemies. MJF’s got a shortlist, but first, let’s go to Adam Cole who joins us via screen. He feels sorry that he cannot be there, but he congratulates MJF on becoming the longest reigning AEW World Champion.
Cole thinks MJF should take Samoa Joe up on his offer, but the champ isn’t sure about that. MJF has to go and see if he can find these partners, so he walks away. Roderick Strong & The Kingdom pop in to tell Cole that he would never walk away like that, and are we still pretending MJF isn’t a devil? Adam has no time for this, so he cuts the feed.
#1. [International Championship] Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli – Winner: Orange Cassidy retains
Jon Moxley appears. Orange Cassidy attacks him, but it backfires, as Moxley pummels him in to the mat. Castagnoli helps to keep security staff from breaking it up.
Backstage, MJF knocks on Kenny Omega’s door. Chris Jericho answers it, smiles, and then shuts the door. Wardlow suddenly appears and grabs hold of MJF’s neck. He tells MJF that he took everything from him, so he will take everything away when he least expects it. Wardlow lets go and walks away, leaving MJF angry. Max Caster offers a partnership, but the champion still wants nothing do with him.
Jon Moxley tells Orange Cassidy that he took his match. He’s not doing so good right now, so maybe he is the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. When he gets his hands on him, he will take his title away, because he can.
#2. [ROH Trios Championship] The Elite’s Hangman Page & The Young Bucks (c) vs. Mogul Embassy’s Brian Cage & Gates Of Agony – Winners: Mogul Embassy become new champions!*
*Swerve Strickland interfered and cost The Elite the titles by distracting Hangman Page. Matt Jackson showed noticeable frustration afterward.
MJF walks up to Samoa Joe’s door, but thinks better of it. He looks at Darby Allin’s door, and writes something insulting next to his name. Again, Max Caster tries his best, but MJF isn’t going for it.
Adam Copeland enters the ring to talk with Tony Schiavone. Is he going to team with Darby Allin and Sting at Full Gear to take on Christian Cage? Speaking of which, here comes the TNT Champion. Christian Cage tells Louisville to shut their mouths. Before Adam gives his answer, he wants to paint a picture. He is going to retire Sting at Full Gear whether he likes it or not. If you have seen Darby Allin lately, he has a limp arm that hasn’t been the same since WrestleDream. Also, he doesn’t need to remind anyone about Copeland’s neck problems.
Christian doesn’t want this fairy tale to turn in to a nightmare, so he suggests to Adam that he backs down. Otherwise, he will snap his neck and leave him in a wheelchair, undignified for the rest of his life. His kids will say he used to be somebody. He asks Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne to give Adam a preview, who fends them off. Christian distracts him long enough for Luchasaurus to blindside Adam, and the trio put him down. Christian sets up a Conchairto, which brings out Sting and Darby Allin to even the odds. Adam spears Christian! He wants to snap his neck?! He is going to beat his ass. Sting was right. He’s the man to join them at Full Gear.
Tony Khan and Nigel McGuinness announce that All In 2024 tickets will go on sale on December 1st. This year’s All In make history, and they want to rewrite history next year. Nigel cannot wait to see everyone in Wembley Stadium on August 25th.
#3. Daddy Magic & Cool Hand Ang vs. Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega – Winners: Jericho & Omega
Don Callis gives them credit for being hard to get rid of, so maybe they need to take it up a notch. Maybe this gets settled on the street. So, if they have the guts, they will face the greatest family in professional wrestling in a street fight. Step up to the plate, you dummies.
Kenny Omega accepts, but they have a spot reserved for Kota Ibushi. Callis says that’s great, but they are still a man short. Jericho says that Powerhouse Hobbs is big, but he isn’t a giant. Paul Wight appears to be their fourth man in the street fight. He knocks out Kyle Fletcher with one punch.
#4. [AEW Women’s World Championship] Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Willow Nightingale – Winner: Hikaru Shida retains
For the third time, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm makes her entrance. Hikaru Shida is sick of this, so she storms up the ramp and attacks Storm. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is in the ring with Willow Nightingale. Hart extends her arm out for a handshake. Skye Blue interjects and stands between them. She sprays the blue must at Julia! And finally shows who she is with.
MJF is sat by himself backstage. Again, The Acclaimed show up, and they say if he wants them to be his partners, he has got to scissor and wear what they have in a black trash bag. MJF does not like what is in the bag, and has one more group to ask, so he refuses. Jeff Jarrett’s group appears and are overly keen to team with MJF tonight, but the champ is very conflicted, because they are arguably worse than The Acclaimed.
#5. [To Get Triple B Back From Jay White] MJF & The Acclaimed vs. Bullet Club Gold – Winners: Bullet Club Gold when Jay White pinned MJF
The Acclaimed do their best to save MJF from Bullet Club Gold. Max Caster takes the bullet for MJF by pushing him away from Jay White striking him with the title belt. Afterward, Max Caster wants to scissor, but MJF declines. Billy Gunn yells in his face because Max just put himself in harm’s way to save him. MJF reluctantly changes his mind, so they have a scissor party to close the show.
