A BRITISH mum who was stabbed to death at her home in Italy had been missing for days before her body was found.
Cops have launched a manhunt for Michele Faiers’ partner, the prime suspect in her death, who they fear may have fled abroad.

Faiers, 66, was reportedly found stabbed in her bedroom by a friend who had grown concerned after not hearing from her for several days.
The mother-of-two was reportedly found lying in a pool of blood, and after hearing her friend’s screams, neighbours alerted the police.
They rushed to the scene in the Verratti district where they found the 66-year-old’s body, La Repubblica reported.
Faiers was apparently dressed only in her underwear and covered by a white sheet when she was found, according to MailOnline.
Local cops near the town in eastern Italy said she likely died at least three days ago and confirmed that her partner, 74-year-old Michael, is the prime suspect.
Colonel Alceo Greco added that he may have already fled the country.
Cops are searching for the man, who may have fled in the family car, a white Jeep Compass.
The British expats, who ran Divers Down scuba school in Torquay, Devon, had retired before moving to Italy in 2015.
Former neighbours revealed in a heartbreaking statement that just weeks before her death, Faiers had visited the UK for her daughter’s wedding.
Neighbours at the couple’s old home in Torquay told The Sun they remembered her as a “lovely person”.
According to The Times, there were no signs of a struggle and police are investigating whether she was killed while sleeping.
Her former neighbours told The Sun they are struggling to believe that Whitbread was involved in her death.
“I find it very hard to believe he was involved, they seemed such a lovely couple. I can’t imagine he would have done that.
“I wouldn’t have thought he had that in him. I just can’t believe it.
“He was the nicest guy you could ever meet.”
Faiers made her last post on Instagram on October 25, just days before she died.
She shared three pictures of a sunset taken from the terrace of her house in Italy, which her partner liked.
Other photos she shared online over the years showed the pair smiling and apparently having fun on trips, with friends and with family.
Faiers had been living with her husband in the countryside in Casoli, Chieti for the past three years.
The pair were described as private by locals who said they would often see them taking walks with their three dogs.
Back in September, another British woman was stabbed to death as a pensioner was arrested for her murder.
The victim, 76, was found dead in the village of Orihuela Costa in Costa Blanca Spain.
While another Brit died in front of her horrified husband while on a dream cycling holiday abroad.
The 27-year-old hit her head on a “particularly impervious” part of the bike path along Lake Garda, Italy.
