2023 CarBuzz Awards Finalists: Family Luxury

For the CarBuzz Awards, we split the family vehicles into two categories. The finalists for Family Fun are on the more affordable side of the spectrum, while Family Luxury is a money-no-object category.

As with Family Fun, we expect these cars to carry at least a family of four and all their luggage. However, due to their elevated pricing, we expect more power, sublime handling, luxury, and technology. At the end of a long road trip, the driver and occupants should emerge feeling as fresh as when they left.

Interior quality should be immaculate and feel like it will last a lifetime. It’s important to note that this category is not about rear-seat screens, which have been rendered obsolete by smartphones and tablets. All rear passengers require these days is access to a USB charger to keep the device going.

There were many worthy cars this year, including the BMW XM, Lexus RX, Volvo XC90, and even the Audi RS6 Performance. But we only have room for three, and here they are in no particular order.
