2024 Ford Mustang Revives 1968 California Special

The California Special package was first introduced in 1968 and has been available on the Mustang ever since.

“The original California Special package was geared toward California’s optimistic and carefree driving culture,” explains Mustang brand manager Joe Bellino. “We’re refocusing on those elements for the 2024 Mustang GT California Special, which brings vibrant style that looks as at home on Colorado Boulevard as it does on the Pacific Coast Highway.”

Rave Blue accents set the California Special apart from regular Mustangs but also from older California Special versions.

The blue theme continues inside, where you’ll find classy perforated Navy Pier and Ebony Black leather upholstery. Raptor Blue and Metal Gray stitching can be found on the fascia, door cards, steering wheel, and center console. Lastly, there is a California Special badge and GT/CS floor mats.
