It remains to be seen whether this new bug fix will remedy the problem, but we certainly hope it does. Sitting with a broken $1,100 phone can’t be nice, especially if it failed due to a design or software error. Apple is yet to say what it will do for owners whose iPhone 15s were damaged beyond repair. Hopefully, these will be replaced under warranty.
We’d be interested to find out what caused the problem, as it only affected BMW products and the Supra, which uses BMW components. Most modern vehicles have wireless chargers, and there have been no complaints from other brands.
Hopefully, the problem is now a thing of the past. In today’s tech-driven society, this is just the thing that will have consumers cross-shopping at rival brands, and that’s something neither Apple nor BMW want.
