A BRITISH tourist has died after she was allegedly stabbed 41 times with a screwdriver by her partner in a Turkish hotel room.
The 26-year-old woman was found dead at about 12:30pm local time on Tuesday in a hotel in Istanbul’s Fatih district.

Horrified hotel staff reported hearing “sounds” coming from a room and found the victim “lying in a pool of blood”, according to local media.
Medical teams were notified and arrived at the scene, but the woman could not be saved.
She had suffered extensive injuries including lacerations to her throat and across her body.
Examiners concluded she was killed using a screwdriver.
Local media reports the man allegedly stabbed the woman repeatedly with the tool before driving it into her head.
Turkish police launched an investigation and found her partner after a day-long search wearing a bloodied white t-shirt.
The suspect confessed to the alleged murder and said he threw the screwdriver into the toilet in the hotel room before fleeing the scene, local media reports.
Turkish media outlet Turizm Ajansi said the suspect claimed an argument broke out between him and the victim when she offered him drugs.
It was after this argument that the man allegedly killed her.
The couple are reported to have arrived in Istanbul from England on Sunday and only settled into their hotel on Tuesday, the day the woman was found dead.
More to come.
