Three British Airways crew members who claimed they were mugged in Brazil allegedly enjoyed a crazed night of debauchery instead — prompting a packed flight to be postponed.

The trio were due to fly back to London’s Heathrow Airport from Rio de Janeiro on September 5, but flight BA248 was abruptly postponed after they claimed they were robbed the night before and were “too traumatized to work,” according to The Sun.

A local police investigation found that the airline employees, aged 40, 39, and 31, “did not tell the truth and didn’t say what actually happened that morning.”

Cops discovered that the staffers, who claimed their phones had been snatched by thugs in the robbery, actually lost their devices following a night of excessive drinking.

They were also accused of taking Class A drugs during their night of partying, before attempting to cover their tracks in a desperate bid to stay out of trouble from the airline.

“This is a matter for the police,” a British Airways spokesperson told The Post.

“What is surprising is how a crew that has such an important role spends the whole night drinking and using drugs, knowing that the next day they would have the responsibility of taking care of dozens of people who would travel for hours,” Patricia Alemany, Head of the Special Tourism Support Police, told local news outlet Globo.

Just moments after reporting the faux robbery, the trio allegedly hailed a cab to an abandoned gas station in Vaz Lobo, north of Rio.

Officers are considering charging the staffers for “falsely reporting a crime.”

Surveillance footage shows the three crew members out on the town at around 4:50 a.m.

“They created these stories to try to justify probably inappropriate behavior outside of company rules,” assistant police chief Danielle Bullus told the outlet. “But we found out that there was a theft of a cell phone from the pair who were in Vaz Lobo.”

Cops believe that one staffer in particular drank “to the point of becoming unconscious.”

After nearby construction workers revived him and called for medical assistance, the staffer allegedly “showed a pin of white powder — the police believe it to be cocaine.”

Once he was transported to the hospital, the man reportedly admitted to taking drugs and drinking with two local women.

The ordeal comes as a married British Airways pilot snorted coke off a topless woman’s chest while partying hard in South Africa before he attempted to groggily fly a jam-packed flight to London, according to a report.

Mike Beaton had a night off for “downtime” in Johannesburg before he was scheduled to co-pilot a return flight to London in September, the Sun reported.

He spent the night indulging in booze, drugs and women, he boasted in text messages he sent to a flight attendant pal.
