Police are hunting two balaclava-clad knifemen after a man was stabbed at a Tesco Express.
The ‘targeted attack’ took place near Epsom Station just before 9pm on Sunday.
Afterwards, two men, described as white and 5’6” tall, fled the store wearing ‘black tops and balaclavas’.
The victim remains in hospital with injuries described as serious but not life threatening.
Surrey Police said: ‘We are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Epsom on Sunday (19 November).
‘Officers were called around 8:40pm to Tesco Express in Station Approach after a man in his 20s was left with stab wounds.’
Detective Sergeant Leigh Wall, who is investigating the incident, said: ‘We understand that this incident will have caused considerable concern within the local community.
‘We do believe that this was a targeted attack, and we are doing everything we can to locate the suspects.’
