A HORROR stampede during a concert at a university in India has left four students dead and at least 45 injured.
The music event at the Cochin University of Science and Technology turned into chaos after rain forced the outside crowd to rush inside the overpacked venue.

While the identities of the deceased students are yet to be revealed, two of them are reported to be women.
The concert, which featured famous Bollywood singer Nikhita Gandhi, was held at the university’s open-air auditorium.
According to reports, entry to the crowded concert was restricted with passes.
The situation, however, went out of hand after rain forced the outside crowd to rush inside the gated venue to take shelter.
Emergency services were quick to respond and the injured students were taken to Kalamassery Medical College for treatment.
The state’s Health Minister has assured all necessary arrangements for the treatment of the victims will be taken care of.
Cochin University was celebrating its annual Tech Fest “Dhishna” which is a three-day event.
