This beautiful town has been named one of the best to visit this Christmas thanks to its magical market and Christmas-themed Market Square.
Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds has long been an idyllic spot for those looking for a relaxing getaway to the countryside, with chocolate-box cottages lining the streets and buildings from the 7th century stood tall.
But it gets even better during the festive season, with their Christmas market taking place on December 2 and 3 this year.
The small town is known for its long running markets that have been visited by thousands across the country, with vendors selling handmade items and locally sourced food produce.
Their Christmas themed market takes place alongside the scenic river that runs through the small town, and with possible snow on the horizon, it could make for some festive snaps.
The Market Square is also home to an indoor fayre that is held over the Town Hall’s famous two floors.
Chipping Campden’s historic High Street, laid out in the 7th century by King Henry II’s close friend Hugh de Gondeville, is known for its particularly wide avenue which looks stunning in the snow.
The Christmas market is expected to be filled with a range of items, from crafts, gifts and cakes.
It will run between 10am and 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday – allowing plenty of time for those hoping to grab a bargain ahead of Christmas.
The town’s Christmas lights are also switched on at dusk, giving a festive feeling to the town even at night.
Grab a mulled wine or hot chocolate from one of the local vendors and settle down by the river to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Cotswolds.
