Ultimate WWE and AEW Power Rankings – November 27, 2023

It is time for another week of the Ultimate Power Rankings from both WWE and AEW. Who improved their stock from last week and who downgraded their position among the rest?

This set ranges from Monday (November 20) and to Sunday (November 26). This means that all the results and highlights from this week’s Raw, NXT, AEW Dynamite, SmackDown, AEW Rampage, and AEW Collision, as well as WWE’s Survivor Series: War Games PLE, will all play a factor in the rankings.

If a wrestler has a (+) next to their name, then that means that they moved up the rankings from last week’s edition. When there is a (-) next to their name, then that means that they moved down from the rankings from last week. If there is nothing next to their name, then that means that they stayed at the same spot.

Without further ado, let’s get into this week’s Power Rankings for WWE and AEW!

WWE TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS:

10. Shinsuke Nakamura (-3)

Nakamura picked up another crucial win in his once again new-fledged push on TV, defeating Chad Gable in a (as expected) really solid match. And with someone’s return to WWE, Nakamura’s push may get even hotter with a match/feud with said returnee.

9. Becky Lynch (NR)

Even though her involvement in WarGames came out of nowhere, Lynch scored the pin in the cage. Now, Lynch is pretty much in a holding pattern until WrestleMania, where she is almost certainly going to face Rhea Ripley.

8. Damage CTRL (-6)

Damage CTRL fell short in the WarGames match, with Bayley suffering the devastating pin. The story of Damage CTRL has been one of the best in WWE. Bayley’s ex communication from the group is sure to be great, and in an ideal world, a match between her and Iyo Sky for the title can tell a perfect WrestleMania story. Or maybe, even bring an old friend of hers…

7. Santos Escobar (NR)

The new heel turn from Escobar has been a breathe of fresh air. He seems to be right in his element. Heel works so much better for him, and Escobar picking up his first key win post-turn, at Survivor Series over the upstart Dragon Lee (replaced Carlito).

6. The Judgment Day (-5)

The Judgment Day’s grasp from the #1 ranking has fallen due to their defeat inside WarGames. We all still waiting for the implosion of Judgment Day but in the meantime, at least two of them all champions in Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio, as the former retained over Zoey Stark at Survivor Series.

5. Randy Orton (NR)

The Viper is officially back, though with of course some theatrics/drama with Orton coming in late. Orton looked great, seemingly in even better shape (if that’s possible) and hopefully this run of his goes on without any more problems.

4. Gunther (+1)

And Still…another successful retainment followed Gunther at Survivor Series, as he bested the A-Lister The Miz in a rock solid title bout.

3. Cody Rhodes (NR)

Rhodes picked up the big pin in WarGames, pinning Damian Priest. With Rhodes friend Orton back, and some other things lining in place, Rhodes is on a first train ticket to Philly with Roman Reigns.

2. Seth Rollins (+1)

The World Heavyweight Champion may have been completely overlooked in the build to WarGames, but bigger things are ahead for the champ, as the surprise return of the “Best in the World” gives Rollins a most likely golden opportunity to main event WrestleMania in a one-on-one match.

1. CM Punk (NR)

Yes this isn’t a drill. CM Punk is back in WWE. Problems aside (and there’s a lot of them), Punk being back in WWE is insane to even fathom. Even as a free agent, Punk was still the talk of professional wrestling. Now that Punk’s back, time will tell how far WWE will go to give Punk most of the things that he wanted, things that ultimately led to him leaving the company in 2014. And in my and many others honest thoughts, is that a main event match at WrestleMania, the one thing that has alluded him in his career, will finally happen at WrestleMania 40.

AEW TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS:

10. Bullet Club Gold (NR)

Jay White bounced back from a loss to MJF to a win over Rush in the Continental Classic. White, in my mind, is one of the top picks to win the tournament all together. And hopefully he does, selfishly, as I would love for someone like White’s caliber to continue being featured and racking up accolades in his AEW career.

9. Jon Moxley (NR)

Speaking of bouncing back with a nice win, Moxley did just that by knocking off Mark Briscoe in his first contest of the Continental Classic on Dynamite.

8. Skye Blue (NR)

Blue is really coming into her own. On Dynamite, the young upstart prevailed over Anna Jay and Ruby Soho in a three-way matchup. This win shows that AEW is determined and ready to continue the recent push of Blue, and hopefully her story with Julia Hart/Kris Statlander continues to showcase her improvements.

7. Samoa Joe

It’s official. Joe will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship on Dec. 30 at World’s End. As opposed to last time, there is a real possibility that Joe walks out of MJF’s home of Long Island with the title in hand. What a sight that would be.

6. The Patriarchy (NR)

We all know Cage’s heel run has been terrific. On Dynamite, he upped his brash attitude one more, by renaming Luchasaurus…Killswitch. Wayne is also now known as “The Prodigy.” Whilst the name Killswitch is going to take some time to get used to, it does fit his character and could further develop a future babyface turn from Killswitch onto his dictator Cage.

5. Julia Hart (-1)

Hart racked up her first successful title defense, beating Lady Frost on Collision. Again, it’s great that Hart is a TBS Champion and this run could really make her a main event caliber player in the women’s division.

4. House of Black (NR)

The House of Black picked up solid wins this week. First, Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews defeated Gravity and Komander on Collision, and then later on at Collision, Brody King upsetter Eddie Kingston in the Continental Classic, earning 3 points for himself.

3. MJF (-1)

The AEW World Champion has his date set for Long Island with Joe, a match that should also prove who the Devil is too.

2. Orange Cassidy (+1)

International Champ Cassidy notched another win, this time in trios action on Dynamite, aligning with Hook and Katsuyori Shibata over Jake Hager, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker.

1. Mogul Embassy

Swerve Strickland continues his great winning streak, defeating Jay Lethal in his first match of the Continental Classic to kick off Dynamite.
