Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes Got Matching Tattoos With a Sweetly Cosmic Meaning

You have to be pretty darn confident in your relationship to memorialize it forever on your body in ink, but it’s a risk Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes were prepared to take.

On the Call Her Daddy podcast, Ballerini revealed that she and her boyfriend of 11 months got matching tattoos, which means they better stay together forever lest they be left with a Pete Davidson situation. “We have matching tattoos and we can’t break up,” Ballerini told host Alex Cooper. “We have matching Virgos …we got them together.”

Ballerini, a true astrology girl, explained the tats’ special meaning. “I used to really resent my Virgo-ness because to me it was very control freak, just needing power in a lot of situations in a relationship. And he’s a Virgo too, and he and I have just really allowed ourselves to just love that part of ourselves and each other. Just the need to communicate well and be loyal and all those things.”

The story behind the matching ink wasn’t the only thing Kelsea Ballerini revealed on the pod. She also got into the details of the couple’s sex life, which appears to be thriving. In previous relationships, Ballerini said, “I didn’t understand how it could be a real connector in a relationship. I never understood that.” She went on, “I always thought that it was just something that you did because that’s who you do it with. You know? And, no, no, no—now I realize it’s a connector for people.”
