The first two 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinals will take place on Monday in the inaugural NBA tournament. Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, December 4
For Monday, one of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Pelicans shooting guard/small forward Brandon Ingram, who is listed at $8,100 on DraftKings and $7,900 on FanDuel. Ingram had 23 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals against the Bulls on Saturday as he’s averaging 23.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season. Ingram averaged a career-high 24.7 points per game last season as he’s becoming one of the top scorers in the NBA.
The Pelicans play the Kings, who are allowing 121.3 points per game over their last six contests. They’ve allowed at least 117 points in each of their last three contests as the Kings play at the eighth-fastest pace of play. This allows additional possessions for both teams, which should favor Ingram as the Pelicans’ leading scorer. The 26-year-old is averaging 27 points per game over his last two games against the Kings and is a strong option for NBA DFS lineups in a limited slate on Monday.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Pacers center Myles Turner ($7,000 on DraftKings and $7,400 on FanDuel). Turner had 17 points and 10 rebounds against the Heat on Saturday. The 27-year-old is averaging 16.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season after averaging a career-high 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last year.
Turner has at least eight rebounds in six straight games heading into Monday’s matchup against the Celtics, who allowed 15 offensive rebounds to the 76ers on Monday. The 6-foot-11 Turner could find himself in positions to capitalize on offensive rebounds for second-chance points against the Celtics.
