OK, we know that’s quite a claim to make: World’s Easiest Brownies. But we think you’ll agree that this recipe is at least among the easiest! You don’t even need an electric mixer for this one.
That makes this recipe perfect for the Christmas season, when time is at a premium. After all, your baked goods need to be part of the fun, not part of the hard work.

1/3 cup
butter
2 squares
semi-sweet chocolate (we used Ghirardelli)
2/3 cup
flour
1 t.
baking powder
1/4 t.
salt
2
eggs
1/2 cup
walnuts or pecans
1 t.
vanilla

Melt together in the microwave 2 sq. of chocolate and butter. 30-60 seconds should do. Set aside.

In separate mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar together. Add the chocolate mixture to it and beat well.

Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well, then add the nuts and vanilla. Pour into a buttered 8 x 8 square baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center. Let cook before cutting (if you can).
