15 Impressive Supernatural Cosplays That Make Season 16 Sound Even Better

Supernatural is one of the most beloved TV shows to come from The CW, and fans are still showing their love for the Winchester boys with incredible cosplays that beg for a season 16. Supernatural started airing on The CW in 2005, where it enjoyed 15 long years with just as many seasons. During that time, everyone fell in love with the heroic Winchester boys and the rest of the cast as they fought back demons and saved the world time and time again.

Sam and Dean Winchester may be the most iconic monster hunters of all time, but they also relied on the help of a few good friends to help rid the world of evil. Throughout the show, characters like Charlie Bradbury, Castiel the Angel, Mary Winchester, and the Crossroads demon-turned-king of Hell, Crowley all joined up with the boys to stomp out evil and darkness. This post from @michaelcerasoli is an incredible tribute to Castiel, not least of all because he got to show it off to the actor, Misha Collins, himself. It’s easy to be mistaken for seeing double when looking at the picture, as the creator managed to replicate the costume in great detail. From the dark navy blue tie, the single open button on the white shirt, and the jacket, it’s almost identical apart from the jacket buttons.

Here’s an incredible tribute by @magnoliabellydance as she and a friend get together to do a gender-swapped play on the Winchester brothers. These ladies have done an excellent job capturing the spirit of the boys and even included their anti-possession tattoos from Supernatural. This cosplay is a great example that a little can go a long way when you throw together a couple of pieces that could already be in the wardrobe and top it off with something simple and recognizable to complete the look.

This creator reuploaded a video he created over on TikTok where he reenacted Dean’s famous performance of Eye of the Tiger on top of the Chevy Impala. Not only has @charlies.castle managed to pull together the look with the black tee, army green overshirt, and worn blue jeans, but he throws himself into the performance. Shame he didn’t have an Impala to perform the song on top of, but nonetheless, he pulled it off.

From one Dean Winchester cosplayer to another, @roadrnr08 absolutely nails the look with this incredible cosplay. With the jacket, shirt, tee, necklace, and even some facial hair to mirror Dean in the later seasons, he could probably step in as a stunt double the look is so accurate. If they ever do a reboot, this guy needs to audition.

While the outfits may be fairly simple to throw together, a large part of any character on TV is how they present themselves. Castiel in the early seasons didn’t present any kind of emotion, as he roamed the Earth as an angel, rising above human emotion. Cosplayer @sir8davren manages to not only pull off the look exactly, but he also performs the part with a blank stare, as if he is on another plane.

While at a convention, these two cosplayers must have been leading contenders for any contest as they deliver an excellent Dean and Castiel possessed by the Leviathans. User @schlinicosplays pulled together a great costume with some impressive touches of detail throughout. From the inclusion of the First Blade, and some knock-off FBI IDs. Castiel even holds his ID badge upside down, just as the character accidentally does in the show.

Again, the costumes are solid, but the performance and inclusion of details that show off each character’s personality are what take the costume to the next level. Sam is reading a book, while Dean is on high alert with a gun and flashlight in hand. And Castiel is sort of just floating above the action until he needs to jump in and expel a demon or heal some wounds.

Cosplayer @charlies.castle makes the list once again, but this time as he shares some of his favorite Supernatural cosplays. The images here are awesome, but one of the best has to be the very first with a play on the ‘Distracted Boyfriend’ meme being reinvented to show Fred and Daphne from Scooby-Doo walking down the street when Dean Winchester passes by, and Daphne can’t help but take another look. Everything here from the celebration of fandoms to the creative crossover is just perfect.

Reimagining Castiel as a demonic fallen angel character, with destroyed wings and demon horns, the look is as awesome as it is terrifying. Just imagine if Castiel had been turned into this monster, maybe when the Leviathan’s took over his body.
