As we reach the end of prime baking season, let’s make it as easy as possible. One pan to mix, one pan to bake, not much to clean up. These toffee bars may become a go-to for any season.
This recipe calls for a chocolate bar, which can be a full bar of semi-sweet baking chocolate, melting chips, or a simple candy bar. For this one, we used a Butterfinger® bar we had on hand, and supplemented it with 1/2 cup chocolate chips. It’s the perfect complement to a cut of hot chocolate or cold milk–ready to set out for Santa or to have waiting when the crew comes in from making a snowman!
