CM Punk, The Elite, and a bunch of AEW stars were suspended by Tony Khan due to their involvement in the infamous backstage brawl at AEW All Out 2022.

Almost everyone involved in the incident is subject to legal non-disclosure agreements (NDA) barring them from publicly speaking about what exactly went down at the NOW Arena in Chicago on September 4, 2022.

However, Chris Jericho claims that he didn’t sign an NDA regarding Brawl Out.

During a recent appearance on the “Rip Rogers” podcast, attorney Stephen P. New revealed that Ace Steel’s wife was the only individual present at the backstage incident who was not subject to an NDA.

New said, “The only person, and granted she’s not completely objective and unbiased, the only person not subject to an NDA and not subject to confidentiality provisions is Ace’s wife Lucy. Maybe one day she tells the story.”

Jericho responded to New’s comments on Twitter, writing, “I didn’t sign one….”

New later replied to Jericho, saying, “It’s in your employee handbook unless you have a special one. We can figure it out.”

Jericho then wrote a lengthy response, lashing out at New. He tweeted,

“Hey @StephenPNew- I don’t adhere to an employee handbook and have NEVER had one in 4 years of working for @aew. Ive also never signed an NDA in my life ….ever. So stop trying to be a bully and making egotistical fantasy brags for your clients, and start doing some research before you make blanket statements about your buddies. Because I saw EVERYTHING that night…including how Lucy (and her husband and best buddy) acted and what really went down…and since I was in the room and watching her and everybody else the whole time..I know exactly what really happened. And considering you weren’t there and I was …maybe you should shut your mark ass up. Because what really went down was disgusting. ….”

While CM Punk returned to AEW earlier in June, his contract was terminated following a backstage incident with Jack Perry at All In 2023 this past September.

Punk would later sign a multi-year deal with WWE and return to the Endeavor-owned promotion at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.
