JEFFREY Epstein’s former lawyer was slammed today after dragging the late Queen into a row over Prince Andrew’s sex abuse payout to Virginia Giuffre.
Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter told The Sun comments from Alan Dershowitz were “disrespectful”, adding he “should put up and shut up”.

Dershowitz, a longtime associate of convicted paedophile Epstein and his defence lawyer, was named 137 times in the bombshell court documents recently unsealed by a New York judge.
The files were part of a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Roberts Giuffre against Epstein’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell.
On Tuesday Dershowitz said Andrew’s decision to settle his lawsuit with accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre in 2022 was a “terrible mistake”.
He claimed Andrew “would have won” if he had gone to court and shockingly claimed that he thinks the Duke was “pressured” by his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, to settle.
The Queen’s former spokesman Dickie today told The Sun that “dragging” her into conversations about files related to the convicted paedophile Epstein is “disrespectful”.
“If you went out and spoke to public and said ‘Look, this guy from the States has dragged the Queen into this 15, 16 months after she has died, is it the right thing to do?
“The answer is obviously not. It is disrespectful.”
Arbiter added: “He’s American, Elizabeth wasn’t his Queen.
“When you travel around the world you get people saying ‘Well, you know, your Queen not ours so we can say what we like’.”
Andrew settled the sex abuse lawsuit with Giuffre in February 2022 – sparing him a humiliating court battle.
He has always denied the allegations made against him, and claims to have never met her.
Giuffre previously alleged that Epstein had trafficked her to Dershowitz between 2000 and 2002, but he has also always denied those claims.
In 2022 she dropped the defamation case brought against him in 2019 and no money changed hands on either side.
“I think he made a terrible mistake. I suspect he was pressured by his mother to make that mistake,” Dershowitz today told Times Radio.
“If he had fought that case, I believe he would have won, I believe the case would have been dismissed on a variety of grounds, but he didn’t want to sit through a deposition, or people around him didn’t want to sit through a deposition, so he settled the case.”
Arbiter went on: “Derschowitz should put up and shut up because it’s got nothing to do with him.
“He thinks he’s out of it, as far as Andrew is concerned he’s not out of it because papers are being continually released.”
“I think it’s absolute nonsense that she’s dragged up and quite frankly he’s got no right. He doesn’t know her.
“What he’s saying is pure speculation.”
The unsealed files, first released last week include testimony, emails, court records and other legal documents.
They detail the lurid sex allegations made against convicted paedophile Epstein and sex trafficker Maxwell, as well as shocking claims about Prince Andrew.
And they describe his alleged involvement in an “underage orgy” while staying on Epstein’s private island and a claim that he groped a woman’s breast with a puppet while she sat in his lap like “Santa”.
And on Tuesday Epstein victim Sarah Ransome doubled down on the previously redacted 2016 claims that Epstein had filmed Andrew, along with Bill Clinton and Richard Branson, having sex with an unnamed friend.
Arbiter today said “people are angry” to see the disgraced Duke’s name pop up again in the court docs.
“I think people are angry with the whole thing, that it’s dragging on.
“There is no way back for him, especially with latest papers… Andrew is on his own.
He added: “Andrew’s been sidelined, sidelined by his mother, he is continuing to be sidelined by his brother the King.”
Arbiter also described Andrew as “not the brightest”, and said he would have been “ripped to pieces” had he gone to court against Giuffre.
“He’s not the brightest bunny in all the planets as we saw in 2019 in that Newsnight interview.
“He’s not good at thinking on his feet.”
It comes as Andrew was seen today for the first time since claims surfaced that Epstein had recorded sex tapes of the royal.
He was spotted behind the wheel of his Range Rover at his Royal Lodge home in Windsor after the allegations resurfaced.
The royal has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, along with Bill Clinton and Richard Branson who dubbed the sex tape claims “baseless”.
