DONALD Trump was rushed to safety by the Secret Service as they “opened fire at a gunman” at the former President’s golf club, reports say.
The Republican presidential candidate, 78, was at the National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, when the incident took place but was “declared safe”.
Trump has since said he will “never surrender” in his first post after the horror ordeal.
The former president said: “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!
“Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!
“I will always love you for supporting me.”
