He is believed to be around 50 years old but his identity remains unclear.
The horror incident is said to have occurred shortly after 11pm on Monday night at a hotel in the Agrilia area.
Fire brigades rushed to the scene as well as multiple men, who cut the bars of the fence with help of a doctor, reports said.
A spike was said to be just millimetres away from one of his carotid arteries, which deliver blood to the brain and head.
Part of a bar reportedly remained nailed to his neck when he was taken to hospital, where he has since remained intubated.
Greek authorities are now probing the incident and attempting to uncover more details about the injured holidaymaker.
It comes just two days after another Brit was fighting for life after attempting a 10ft jump from his hotel balcony to a swimming pool in Cyprus.
