Cops reportedly found the British woman crying in a car park of a resort village.

They rushed her to the hospital for a medical examination after she told them the cab driver attempted to rape her.

Her dress was found ripped when officers reached the scene.

Detectives from the Spanish Civil Guard identified the taxi driver who picked her up from a restaurant where she had been eating with her parents before staying alone for drinks.

The suspect was a 26-year-old UK-based Romanian tourist who was staying at the same hotel on the island as the woman.

Authorities are now investigating the cabbie who is expected to be summoned to a Spanish court.

He was initially interviewed as a witness before being told he was being investigated as a suspect after his story of the night “did not add up”.

The driver is also understood to have claimed he did not try to rape her and dropped her off midway after she called her parents.

He has not been arrested yet.

It comes after a Brit teenager claimed she was raped before being sexually assaulted by two others in separate horror attacks on Menorca.

The 19-year-old reportedly told cops a man had raped her after drinks in a pub at resort Arenal d’en Castell in a grim assault.

She claimed she was attacked again soon after by two other men in another shocking incident.

The victim is said to have arrived back at her hotel where she was staying with her family barefoot and in her underwear after the alleged sex attack.

Meanwhile, eight men have been charged over the gang-rape of a British teenager in Magaluf.

The suspects, seven French nationals and a Swiss national were charged in August – one year after the horror attack at a hotel on the Spanish island.
