Michael Jordan, the icon behind Nike’s most successful brand, donated $1 million to Portland’s Providence Heart Institute to establish a cardiac disease center. Jordan’s seven-figure donation will be used to establish a cardiac amyloidosis center named after another Nike great, Howard “H” White, who received a heart transplant from the hospital several years ago.
