The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – How To Find The Lynel Echo

Players in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom can encounter the Lynel early and obtain the strongest echo in the game. Nothing comes close to the power of this enemy. The Lynel has always been the strongest non-boss encounter in most of the series. While the fight will be tough, you will obtain one of the greatest assets to help in your journey to save Hyrule.

One of the best parts of this newest entry in the series is the ability to explore most areas after restoring the first rift in the story. This allows you to encounter the Lynel northwest of Hyrule Castle Town early on. Before attempting to obtain the echo, players should be able to summon echoes that cost four or five Tri Points. Additionally, equipping the Ancient Charm, a reward from the “Let’s Play a Game” side quest at the Eastern Temple, will help reduce any damage taken. This requires the defeat of Smog in Echoes of Wisdom.

Where To Find The Lynel Echo

Head To The Eternal Forest

The Lynel is located in the Eternal Forest northwest of Hyrule Castle Town. There is only one in the game, and you will need to track the enemy down. Directly to the north of the town is the Northern Sanctuary. You will want to head west until you see Warp Point. This marks the entrance to the Eternal Forest. Head to the left and down to encounter the Sword Moblin Lv. 2. The Sword Moblin Lv. 3 is located to the north. Both echoes will help tremendously in the fight against the Lynel.

Make your way over to the Warp Point for the Eternal Forest. Directly south you will see the first set of tracks for the Lynel. Players must follow these to get to the enemy. From the first set of hoof marks:

Head left three screens
South two screens
Slightly southeast one screen
Northwest one screen
Each two screens
North two screens
Northeast two screens

How To Get The Lynel Echo

Utilize Damage Reduction Buffs

As with any other monster’s echo, you must first defeat the enemy. This is easier said than done, as the Lynel can deal a tremendous amount of damage with each swing of its sword. Before entering the forest clearing with the enemy, make sure to drink a Tough Smoothie This, combined with the Ancient Charm, will dramatically reduce any damage you take. Stay clear of the Lynel and continue to summon your newly acquired Sword Moblins.

The Lynel is by far the strongest echo that you can use in battle. Each swing can deal major damage to foes. While you can obtain the Lynel early, you need a total of six Tri Points. Players may not be able to use this powerful echo immediately, but the Sword Moblins can be used until you clear more rifts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
