Athletics golden girl Keely Hodgkinson looks decidedly more, er, pink after a little too much fun in the sun.

The track sensation sported sunburned on her chest, rather than a medal, in a series of Instagram snaps from a holiday in Hawaii.

The 22-year-old Olympian flaunted red raw skin as she posed in a tiny crop top and low-waist mini skirt.

And her legion of fans begged the speed queen to keep out of the sun, or least apply factor 50 beforehand if she doesn’t.

One wrote: “Now that’s a Brit abroad”, while another added: “Suncream needed.”

Wigan-born Keely flew the flag for Britain with a blistering 800m Olympic victory at the Paris Olympics.

The 22-year-old Lancashire flyer illuminated the City of Light with a remarkable performance to romp home and upgrade the silver she bagged in Tokyo in 2020.

Wigan-born Keely emulated her hero Dame Kelly Holmes who won 800m and 1,500m goldin an unforgettable Athens Olympics double 20 years ago.

Leading from start to finish, Keely made light work of the two lap race – and after crossing the line out her hand to her mouth and sobbed after realising her life’s dream.

Immediately after the win, and draped in a Union flag, she sought out her emotional mum and dad, Dean and Rachel, in the crowd at the Stade de France.

The smiling blonde – who describes herself as a “risk-taker with a rebellious stride” – now has the world at her feet.

Speed queen Keely – a product of the fabled Leigh Harriers club – might only be a baby in age, but she already has a rich pedigree in middle distance running.

Her rapid ascent to greatness has seen her become the poster girl for a British athletics renaissance and impart some wise words to youngsters hoping to follow in her [very quick] footsteps.

She said: “Just go at your own pace and don’t have too high expectations. As long as you get out the door, it doesn’t matter what pace you go at or how long you go for – the key is just starting.

“You can’t get overly bothered about what everyone else is doing. I think that’s good [to remember] in every aspect of life, whether it’s how you look or what job you have – if you’re just comparing, you’re going to be miserable. I always say I’d like to do better than I did last year, whether that’s mentally, emotionally or physically.”
