A woman in her 60s died after she was struck by a car in east London that crashed into a house.
Emergency services were called to Eastern Avenue, Ilford at around 4.10pm yesterday to reports that a car had collided with a pedestrian, other vehicles and a building.
Police, paramedics and the fire service attended but sadly she died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, the Met Police said in a statement.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene. They were not arrested.
Photos of the scene show a damaged black car lodged between two parked cars in the driveway of a terrace house.
The force is now appealing for anyone that witnessed the crash or captured it on CCTV or dash cam.
Call the Serious Collision Unit on 0208 246 9820 or 101 and give the reference 4459/07DEC.
