With the Ultimate Lifeform set to reveal itself to the world when Sonic the Hedgehog 3 speeds into theaters, Fowler revealed to Screen Rant‘s Joe Deckelmeier whether future adventures with Shadow are on the horizon. Fowler avoided revealing any explicit plans for the franchise’s future beyond the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The director instead stated that he was proud that the franchise had reached the point of introducing the character to audiences. Check out Fowler’s response below:

I mean, right now we’re just loving that we’re here. We’re about to share this movie with the world. We’re so proud of it. It’s huge. I think fans are going to love it, and
then we’ll go from there.
