So, hypothetically speaking, what do you think Brie will say to Mike when season seven starts?

Hypothetically, I think it would be very hard for them to have a relationship moving forward that isn’t extremely tainted. Now, not impossible, but I certainly think that is very tricky for someone to get married after that. But anything can happen in Virgin River.

I don’t know necessarily if it means all of a sudden Brie and Brady are a thing, also. I know fans are pretty adamant that they do get back together, and I certainly enjoy working with Zibby, so regardless of what happens, hopeuflly we get some more Brie and Brady scenes together. Zibby and I have such a fun time acting with each other.

Let’s talk about Lark. Were you surprised that Brady would reconcile with her after he found out that she was with Jimmy, who is the father of Hazel, and she was trying to scam him? He moved past all that pretty quickly. Were you surprised by that?

Shocked. In fact, when I read it, I didn’t buy it. I was like, “Guys, this is ridiculous. He would never do this.” And then Sean talked to me about it, and he said, “I think where we’re going to come from is the fact that Brady’s made mistakes. The whole idea of this season for Brady is that he’s trying to be the man that Brie wanted him to be, even though it’s with a different woman.” So Brady is really making an effort. He has to understand that if he wants to be forgiven for what he’s done, he has to also forgive others for making similar mistakes. Brady and Lark are very similar in that way. They find themselves in difficult situations and make some bad decisions. But overall, I think have a good heart.

Lark seems to overhear as Brady professes his undying love for Brie, but when Lark and Brady are dancing later, and she asks him about things, he doesn’t come clean. She seems at peace with his answer. I thought she knew, but now I’m not so sure?

Yeah, I think it’s another unfortunate moment for Brady, where he’s kind of confronted with not trying not to hurt someone’s feelings versus telling the truth. He started the whole season off by saying, “I want to make a habit of telling you the truth.” And then when confronted by Lark, he essentially says there’s nothing to worry about. I don’t know if it’s a direct lie, but it’s in the world of a lie, and that always comes back to bite him. I like that we’re not all of a sudden acting as if Brady is the shiny poster boy of humanity and morality. He’s still built in the same moral fabric as he was before. However, he’s trying to overcome some of these knee-jerk reactions that he used to have to protect himself. A lot of Brady’s personality stems from the fact that he always had to be a lone wolf. He wasn’t a part of a pack. He joined the Marines, and all of a sudden he was a part of this family. But when the Marines finished for him, all that went away and he had to fight for himself. He went down the wrong road. So all that is a part of who he is. I didn’t want to just abandon that. I’m happy the writers didn’t either. As tough as is to watch him do, I think the reason why the audience roots for Brady is because he’s constantly trying.
