This one seemed a little intimidating at first glance, but the more I looked at it, the more context clues I began to see. This puzzle has a lot of interesting words, and as I said it looked intimidating at first, but I was able to break it down. You will want to pay attention to how the words are written and what their similarities are. This sounds a little ridiculous because that’s always true, but I mean how the words themselves are structured and not necessarily their definitions. To help you out further, here are four clues:

One category is about something that creates an empty space

One category is about things that are close and easy to be used

One category is about things that will make you feel like you’re two sizes too big

One category is about things that are said by one particular group of people

Yellow Answers: Revealed & Explained

I got this category quite late into the puzzle actually. I think it looks much more obvious now, but between the Substantial category and this one, it felt weird to look between two extremes. It’s one of those puzzles that looks obvious now that you know all the categories and have seen all the answers, but when you first looked at it, you were a little confused. PIT felt like it could go in either place and SQUARE was a little weird to me at first, so I avoided it until I had solved other categories.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

I saw this category early on but did not immediately solve it either. In this case, it was because NEARBY did not necessarily sound like it belonged to the other three words. In fact, it feels a lot different from the others in a weird way. I know in theory that it does have a similar meaning, and it should belong here. For whatever reason my brain just does not like its inclusion here, and I will drive myself crazy if I try to solve that particular riddle.

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained

This one I guessed second because despite what I said, seeing HEARTY and FILLING was too much of a coincidence to ignore for long. I was not sure what to do with that information, because again, SOLID and SQUARE did not seem like it felt right. I was very unsure what was going on there at first, but that gave me the incentive to solve it. Once I ensured that none of the British words meant “to be full”, I was able to guess that these had to be the words that belonged here.

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

I got this first, and while I was about to guess all of these words due to their structural nature alone, it was actually because of BUTTY specifically. I looked it up to see if it had a “substantial” meaning that would place it in the other category. So once I saw it was British, I looked at CHIPPY and TELLY and figured that’s what had to be happening. FOOTY made it in over the other two “-y” words because it was the one I had only heard when I was in England.
