Brandon Sklenar Is Done Taking Sides in Blake Lively’s Lawsuit Battle With Justin Baldoni

Brandon Sklenar would like to be excluded from the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively lawsuit drama surrounding It Ends With Us. At least, that’s the impression you’d get from his response to a question about the controversy. Sklenar, who plays one of Lively’s two love interests in the movie, would like to refocus some attention on the story itself, which is about domestic abuse.

On CBS Mornings, when host Gayle King asked Sklenar what he thinks about the legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, and if he’s “Team Blake or Team Justin,” Sklenar basically said he’s Team It Ends With Us. And he has a personal reason for it.

“I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for, and just keeping the focus on that,” he said. “Like that movie meant so much to me, and I have someone very, very close to me in my life who’s gone through what Lily’s going through for a long time, and I’ve been on the frontlines of helping her navigate that space.”

The It Ends With Us feud took off in public after Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni—accusing him of sexual harassment on set—was filed in December 2024. Lively’s suit also accused Baldoni and his publicity team of intentionally running a smear campaign against her, which was profiled in a New York Times article. Since then, Baldoni has sued the Times as well as Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, while his team has followed through on its promise to release leaked texts and videos to a new website.
