Maria took over her mum’s show after she died in 2023 – leaving a big void in Benidorm’s entertainment scene.

Her performances were very similar to her mum’s, but she introduced some new tricks, including acrobatics.

Brit holidaymakers were big fans of the show, and Maria’s weekly performances at the Palladium, Zodiaco and Rockefellers were very popular.

Paul, 51, from Ripon, visited Benidorm often and was devastated by the news.

In a TikTok, the Benidorm enthusiast said: “It’s a sad loss for Benidorm.

“The Sticky Vicky show has been around for years.

“I’ve heard that she got fed up on some nights only having a few people come and see the show.

“Other performers who do the same shows such as Carmen Snake have now taken her place.”

Another Brit, Danny, said: “Truly the end of an era.”

While Lukas said: “The world ain’t what it used to be.”

A representative from the Benidorm Palladium, Des Bellamy-Wright, confirmed that Maria no longer works in the popular Spanish city.

Maria’s last show took place in November 2024.

The reason for her retirement is unknown.

The Palladium has since introduced a “similar fun show” called Carmen Snake – Sticky Show which is on every night at 12:45 am.

Sticky Vicky – Vicky Leyton – first trained as a ballet dancer before creating a nude magic show that premiered in Barcelona.

The entertainer moved to Benidorm in the 1980s, where she earned her reputation for wild, X-rated performances.

Sticky Vicky’s shows involved her pulling a variety of items from her private parts, including ping pong balls and razor blades.

Brits began flocking to see her in action and she quickly became a part of the Benidorm’s history.

In her heyday, she performed six shows a night, six times a week.

But after 30 years of performing, she decided to retire in 2016.

Sticky Vicky died in 2023 after suffering with a number of health problems.

Tributes for the 80-year-old poured in from heartbroken fans across the world who hailed her as “the absolute legend” and a “true entertainer”.
