Kitchen was sat in a taxi when he unleashed fury on 56-year-old Kadir Biçer, who has been named in local media, from the back of the car.

Without warning the boxer leans forward and grabs at the driver’s arm before leaping over the front seat to clutch at his face.

The experienced cabbie was seen desperately trying to defend himself and drive the car along the road as others rushed by at speed.

At one point his jaw gets cranked to the right as Kitchen wraps his arm around Biçer’s neck and pulls at him from the back seat.

The driver heroically manages to keep one of his hands on the wheel before pulling over as the pair continue to brawl.

Kitchen continues to claw at the driver’s face and even sticks his fingers in his eyes to try and momentarily blind the taxi driver.

The Brit then appears to try and bite at Biçer’s nose several times.

The taxi driver manages to battle his way out of the cab after over a minute of intense fighting.

But as he tries to flee the scene, dozens of cars fly past as Kitchen climbs out himself and the two continue to scrap in the middle of the road.

As they grapple on the tarmac under darkness, Kitchen can be seen throwing the man across the road.

The boxer reportedly left the driver for dead after a fellow cabbie spotted him unconscious on the ground and riddled with injuries.

Paramedics and police rushed to the highway as they took him to hospital.

He was placed into a coma and remains in intensive care.

Images of the driver in hospital show how he was left with serious bruising to his eyes, face and arms.

Biçer’s brother told local media that his face looks as if it has been “completely shattered”.

The family are anxiously waiting for an update from doctors, he added.

Police are continuing to investigate the attack using the footage which was recorded on April 25, in Eyupsultan, Turkey.

They managed to track down and arrested Kitchen, who reportedly confirmed he was a boxer during an interrogation.

Kitchen was questioned and brought before a court.

He has since been remanded in custody pending a trial.

Cops are still looking into why the brawl erupted but they suspect it may have been over a taxi fare.
