For around forty years, Adam played Ian Beale on EastEnders. In the show, viewers have watched him go through heartbreak, family drama, and five failed marriages. But behind the screen is the real Adam, a passionate actor.

Adam began acting at a very young age. One of his first TV roles was in the BBC’s The Baker Street Boys. He also appeared in The Witches and the Grinnygog. Before that, he performed on stage at the National Theatre.

In May 2025, during filming at the EastEnders set in Borehamwood, a woman accused a 50-year-old man of assault. Adam was present on set. Though he was not involved, he witnessed the moment when the cops arrested the actor. The team handled the matter quickly and kept everyone safe.
