WHEN guests arrive at Hedonism II Hotel, they’re after a very different kind of R&R – think less rest and relaxation and more romps & role play.
For Brits April and Scott Shirley, there is no place they’d rather be than the “world’s best sex hotel” – where couples can unwind on a sex swing or take part in beach orgies on a stunning paradise island.

Despite being married for five years and being together for 10, April and Scott’s sex life is anything but vanilla, and the couple has been heading to the famous sex resort in Negril, Jamaica, for several years.
There, they can enjoy dungeon playrooms hosting orgies, oral sex lessons and a pool area where guests are free to roam naked and explore sexual encounters – and they’re not the only ones who love to visit.
Millions have visited the adult-only resort on Jamaica’s stunning West Coast since it opened in 1981, where guests are “free to be as mild or as wild as you care to be”.
Brits April and Scott, who run their own sex-themed gym, Naughty Gym, back in Alabama, loved the paradise island hotel so much that they now host events there themselves, describing the resort as an “iconic adult playground”.
Scott, 53, told The Sun: “It’s a place where you can go and be free to do whatever you want.
“There are parties during the day, parties at night, and if you want to go and just party all day and night, you can.
“You can also disappear to some of the more private places on the resort and have a mild, semi-private vacation with somebody that you love.
“But most of the people tend to go and look for the parties, but we always say it can be as mild or as wild as you want it to be.”
Pursuit of pleasure
On-site facilities include five bars, six pools, world-famous playrooms, a nude hot tub and beach area and a Karma Sutra palace where couples can “enhance their erotic journey”.
During the day, the guests will spend their afternoons naked at the venue’s nude pool, where revellers, aged anywhere between 20 and 80, are regularly seen romping outdoors as couples and in groups.
Raunchy workshops teaching sexual techniques are also on offer and have even led to X-rated demonstrations in front of guests, the couple say.
With “clothing optional” across the resort, wild parties are on offer 24-hours a day – with the help of top sex therapists.
Some groups will organise a big orgy in the playroom at 5pm… about half of the resort or more will end up at that nude pool in the afternoons for just a big loud banger of a party in the pool.

When Scott and April take over the resort for the week, with their Naughty Gym wellness event, they offer an itinerary of workshops and classes, such as sessions on how to communicate with your partner, to more raunchy lessons on how to give good oral sex.
Scott says: “We’ve tried to bring, for our workout week, a little less of a focus on the parties, even though we bring educators from all over the world to come in and talk about different sexual topics and relationship issues.
“Some of them are vanilla issues about dealing with jealousy or communication, and then some of them are as X-rated as demonstrations on how to give good oral sex.”

April, 47, added: “During our week, we have a sex therapist who comes in and she will have classes on how to implement better techniques.
“And they’ll have a person that they are demonstrating on. This is in a place called the Kama Sutra Palace.
“It’s a building and there are mattresses in there. These are experts who have been doing this for years, and they show you how to think outside the box.
“They have an afternoon pool party and then they have a late-night pool party that typically goes to 2am or 3am in the morning.
“Even though it’s a resort where you can have sex anywhere, our week isn’t sex forward.
“Our week is more focused on making connections, bettering your connection with your partner and really just connecting.
A night to remember
The wild parties truly start in the afternoon before they continue on until the early hours, according to Scott, with scantily-clad guests taking part in orgies and fetish-themed events.
He says: “Some groups will organise a big orgy in the playroom at 5pm. We don’t do that because we want people to really focus on their relationship in a really sexy way.
“There are occasional Brits; every country is represented.
“About half of the resort or more will end up at that nude pool in the afternoons for just a big loud banger of a party in the pool.
“It’s got a swim-up bar, so there are a lot of people there drinking.
“It’s shoulder to shoulder in the pool when the resort is really crowded, and it’s fun.
“It’s two or three hours in the afternoon of real partying and then most people will leave at maybe around 5pm and then head back to their room, take a shower, take a nap and then get ready for dinner, because then that’s when the big entertainment of the night starts.
“They always have a singles night seven days a week at Hedonism, and they have a show on the main stage, which is in the dining room.
“All the tables sort of horseshoe around the main stage and people eat with a group of people or some friends while the show’s going on.
“That show starts at around 9pm or 10pm, the show is over and then people move to wherever the party is going to be that night and there are multiple places on the resort that you can host a party.”
They’re[guests] not able to talk openly about their sexuality, about their relationship status, because you’ll meet people who are in throuples, you’ll meet people who are in a poly quad.

Scott and April have been together for 10 years and say they have been open about exploring sex since day one, eventually marrying in 2020.
They launched Naughty Gym after receiving backlash over their open relationship, something they say was frowned upon in the Deep South.
But they say Hedonism II, which advertises itself as an all-inclusive, adults-only and clothing-optional resort, is a place where they can be free from any judgment – and that’s the same for the many open-minded guests that visit each year.

Couples and singles are encouraged to join in games togetherhedonism
She says she meets a variety of people who are hiding “who they really are” for fear of what others might think.
She added: “It attracts people who are looking for a release from their everyday life, tucking in who they really are. They can come here, and they can have really open conversations.
“Within 5 to 10 minutes of meeting somebody there, you’re going to start having a conversation that you cannot have in any other part of your life, because people are going to work and they’re hiding who they really are.
“They’re not able to talk openly about their sexuality, about their relationship status, because you’ll meet people who are in throuples, you’ll meet people who are in a poly quad.
“Most of that is hidden from their everyday life, so they can come here and they can talk about who they really, actually are, and it’s really pretty refreshing.”
And indeed, other visitors had good things to say about the sex resort, with one guest on TripAdvisor saying, “there is no place like it”.
Another added: “This trip has been my dream of a lifetime.”
