A YOUNG bullfighter was killed by a charging bull in front of a crowd of thousands.
Manuel Maria Trindade, 22, died during his debut performance in Lisbon’s Campo Pequeno.

Footage shows him running towards the 700kg bull to try and provoke it into charging.
When the massive bull started towards him, he tried to grab onto one of its horns.
But in a split second, the 22-year-old is thrown up into the air and sent flying into the arena’s wall.
Spectators could be hear screaming out in horror as the Trindade was left sprawled on the floor.
The other bullfighters eventually managed to bring the beast under control.
Paramedics tended to Trindade at the scene and were able to stabilise him initially.
He had suffered severe injuries to his head in the horrifying incident.
Trindade was rushed to São José Hospital and placed in an artificial coma.
But sadly, the brain damage was irreparable and he died on the morning of August 23.
He had been a promising young member of the São Manços amateur bullfighting group, according to local media reports.
The bullfighting world is reported to be in mourning over his death.
It comes after a bull with flaming torches on its horns gored a man in front of screaming crowds in Spain.
Onlookers watched in horror as the man desperately tried to escape from the rampaging animal.
He attempted to flee from the furious bull, but it rammed him before he could scurry beneath the safety barriers.
Another flick of the bull’s head sent him flying back into the arena.
Eventually, he got back to his feet and sprinted for safety.
