A clip posted on the account All-Seeing EYE: Ukraine claims to show one of the missile’s first uses in the war.
“Flamingo missiles are already being actively launched at targets in the Russian Federation,” it reads.
The strikes were likely aimed at Russian-occupied Crimea, substantially broadening Kyiv’s attack options against their invaders.
These entirely domestically produced weapons boast a range of 1,865 miles, making them capable of hitting deep inside European Russia and even western Siberia.
Crucially, the Russian capital city Moscow is comfortably within range.
“The launch of the sensational Flamingo missiles manufactured by our company, Fire Point,” said a report on Nikolaevsky Vanek channel.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Mass production of the missile is underway in the Carpathian Mountains, according to reports.
The Flamingo is not subject to Western restrictions on its use to strike targets inside Russia.
It is only the case case with missiles directly supplied by the US, Britain and France.
Flamingos are reportedly resistant to Russian electronic warfare jamming.
It has been described in Russia as resembling the Soviet jet UAV Tu-143 Reys and the German cruise missile V-1.
Elsewhere, it has been said to resemble the FP-5 cruise missile, introduced in early 2025 by Milanion Group from the UAE.
It has been likened to an unmanned jet which flies to its target at high subsonic speeds.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has praised the Flamingo as “currently our most successful missile”.
But the Ukrainian defence company behind its creation is reportedly under investigation for corruption.
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating whether Fire Point over whether it misled the government on the price and delivery of long-range drones, the Kyiv Independent has reported.
The outlet cited five sources familiar with the probe.
It comes after Ukrainian drones blasted two Russian bridges used by troops as a major supply route.
The crossings in the Belgorod region obliterated when drones struck a cluster of Russian mines hidden beneath them.
A clip shows the device locking in its target before making contact with the bridge.
The deck explodes, with flames and clouds of thick smoke billowing into the air.
Surrounding trees and forest land are blown up in its path.
