AT least 21 people were injured after a huge explosion at a bar in Madrid – with three victims left fighting for their lives.
Shocking footage showed Spanish firefighters desperately clearing rubble in the aftermath, with bricks and glass scattered across the street.

The horrifying ordeal unfolded on Saturday afternoon in the Vallecas neighbourhood, Madrid emergency services said on X.
They also posted images of the bar’s partially collapsed ceiling with debris strewn on the ground.
Ambulances rushed to the scene following the terrifying blast, which left doors blown off their hinges and walls shredded to pieces.
Medical services said they treated 21 people, with three of them in a “serious” and two in a “potentially serious” condition.
Sniffer dogs and drones were also being deployed to support the response, they added.
Authorities said on X: “18 units of Bomberos Madrid continue working on the debris removal.
“Their Canine Unit is joining.”
The shocking scenes echoed a similarly harrowing explosion in the Spanish capital in June 2021.
The blast in completely tore through a seven-storey building used by priests, leaving the street looking like a war zone.
Four people died after the massive explosion shredded the complex, leaving debris scattered across the street.
Government representative Jose Manuel Franco told Spain’s public television that the blast occurred as a team of workmen were repairing the building’s boiler.
It comes after a Brit expat as well as two women were killed in a gas explosion at a bar in southern Spain in June.
Fifteen others were injured after a butane gas canister exploded at the Casa Javi bar in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia.
The 56-year-old expat, who lived in the Lo Pagan area, was reportedly visiting the weekly market when she was caught in the horror blast.
And in May, horrifying footage showed a huge pipe burst just metres from Brit tourists’ balconies.
The jaw-dropping video showed torrents of water gushing down towards the shore from a cracked underground pipe in Benalmádena.
