Power Book II: Ghost Story
Part 2 focuses on Tariq, Ghost’s son, who is in college and gets involved in his father’s drug-dealing business. The story started in 2020, consisting of 10 episodes.
Season shows James struggling between his wife, Tasha, and his first love, Angela, who is also the investigating officer of his case. The show includes some romantic scenes between Angela and James in Miami, where he gets to know the reality of her.
Tommy is sent to jail, while James struggles to do the right thing. The story ended with the death of the Ghost’s people, and each death pushes James and Tommy toward getting caught. Tommy and Tarik are teaming up for the next sequel.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan (2021–2026, final season)
The show takes you to the early life of Kanan Stark in the 1990s. It will show how he was introduced to the crime industry. And how the characters of Raquek or Raq, the mother of Kanan, guided him. This shows his teenage life and how he was betrayed and faced violence.
What to Expect in Raising Kanan Season 5
Production on Season 5 has wrapped, with Starz expected to release it in early to mid-2026. Showrunner Sascha Penn confirmed the series was always planned as a five-season story.
Season 5 will show Kanan’s transformation from a young boy into a powerful drug dealer. The family will face serious challenges. There will be betrayals and broken trust. Hidden secrets will come to light and shake up relationships. Kanan and his family will be under pressure from enemies and the police. Danger will increase all around them.
The most notable addition in the closing arc is Branford Frady “Breeze”, played by Shameik Moore. Breeze has long been a mysterious figure in Power lore, previously only referenced as the head of all who once employed Kanan, Ghost, and Tommy. His arrival ties Raising Kanan more directly to the original show, while setting up Kanan’s eventual destiny. He is expected to shake up the balance of power and bring fresh conflict.
Power Book IV: Force (2021–2026, final season)
This spinoff brings Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) to Chicago. In this season, Tommy is seen making a new empire after the death of Ghost. The show has already released its two seasons. The third and final season is going to be released on 7 November 2025.
The Main Cast of the Power Franchise
Ghost (James St. Patrick): The original antihero whose decisions continue to affect everyone.
Tommy Egan: Ghost’s ruthless partner and eventual standalone lead.
Kanan Stark: Once Ghost’s mentor, later his rival, now explored in his youth.
Breeze: The elusive kingpin from Queens, now finally brought on screen.
Tariq St. Patrick: Ghost’s son, meant to carry forward his complicated legacy.
A Potential New Chapter: Power Origins
With most active spinoffs approaching their conclusions, Starz is already developing a new prequel titled Power: Origins. This project would bridge the events of Raising Kanan with the early days of Ghost and Tommy, giving fans the long-awaited teenage backstory of the iconic duo.
What’s Coming Next? Where to Watch and Trailer
By mid-2026, the existing Power timeline will largely be complete, with Raising Kanan and Force closing out. Some say Starz executives and producers 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp have started more projects, and Origins is the most immediate possibility. The longevity of the franchise suggests fans are not done with the world of Power yet.
The Power Ⅲ: Raising Kanan season 5 trailer is yet to be out and expected in early 2026; till then, you can watch the previous sequels of the Power series on Starz and its associated streaming platforms.
