A 36-year-old man has died after an electric Porsche ploughed into a tree outside the Government’s GCHQ spy base.
The white sports car – believed to be a Taycan – hit a tree on the A40 Gloucester Road in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, at 12.40am this morning.
Images from the scene show the vehicle’s front end completely crushed.
Emergency service were called and gave the man, said to be from the area, CPR at the scene, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
Two men, both in their 30s and from Gloucester, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, police said.
The pair remain in custody for questioning.

Forensics have been at the scene investigating this morning.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: ‘Officers are keen to hear from anyone who has any footage which they believe is relevant and who has not already spoken to police.
‘Anyone with any information is asked to provide it through the following form on our website, quoting incident 18 of 26 January.
‘Alternatively you can call police on 101.’
