Sarah Ferguson’s former aide returns to work after spending 14 years in jail

Sarah Ferguson‘s former dresser, Jane Andrews, who was convicted of murdering her boyfriend 24 years ago, has found a new, quieter life with a new job.

Ms Andrews, now 57, is reportedly now working at a charity-funded animal hospital.

She worked for the Duchess of York for nine years, from 1988 until 1997.

Three years later, she beat her wealthy boyfriend, Tom Cressman, with a cricket bat in his sleep before stabbing him with a kitchen knife at their flat in Fulham, London.

In 2001, she went to trial at the Old Bailey, where she was convicted of murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

Ms Andrew spent 14 years in prison before being released on licence in 2015, but she was recalled back in 2018 after claims were made against her harassing a married man, with police who investigated the case taking no action after finding no evidence. She was re-released in 2019.

Now, new photos published by the Mirror show her looking unrecognisable as she gets on with her new life.

In the pictures, Ms Andrews is wearing a blue uniform and lanyard as she is walking a dog, a stark contrast to her earlier days when she was working as a royal aide.

A local told the outlet: “You’d never guess she’d been a key part of royal life.”

Mr Cressman’s brother, Rick, said his brother’s killer was able to carry on with her life, while his family will continue to live consumed with grief for the rest of their lives.

He told the outlet: “I can never be sympathetic.

“She’s served her sentence. I can only say she has a life to continue with but the sentence for me and my family continues for the rest of our lives.”
