ONLY those with the expert eyes of a hawk will be able to spot the hidden British Army sniper camouflaging himself in the woods.

This tricky military optical illusion is a real challenge as only those with a high IQ and 20/20 vision stand a chance of spotting the expert soldier.

British Army Can you spot this stealthy sniper?[/caption]

The picture shows a huge woodland clearing in the middle of winter with a light mist taking over the image.

Moss-covered branches and towering trees can be seen in the overgrown landscape – but there is also an expertly disguised soldier hiding out.

The Brit troop is almost impossible to spot due to him in his full combat gear which is near identical to the colour of the trees and shrubbery.

The sniper has clearly been trained to pick the perfect placement to camp out as he stalks out his target.

Spotting a singular mistake within a sea of similar coloured objects is one of the toughest tasks in optical illusions as what you are looking for is never quite where you expect.

This illusion is made especially difficult as the scene is covered in a light mist which makes visibility extremely low.

Another clever ploy to throw off those seasoned puzzlers is the use of colours and shapes.

Despite it appearing at first like there can’t be a member of the British Army anywhere in the picture there definitely is one hiding.

Many people will hopefully be able to spot the sniper within seconds.

But as the clock ticks down and the pressure ramps up many of us will begin to lose our sharpshooter ability.

Luckily, these puzzles are super fun to try out with friends and can be a great conversation starter.

But even those who can’t see the soldier can still be proud of themselves as the optical illusion is one of our toughest yet.

This clever brainteaser was shared online by the British Army themselves as they showed off how tactical all their expert snipers are.

If you still can’t quite spot the missing soldier then here’s a huge clue before we reveal the answer.

Look for a helmet and the heroic fighter should soon appear.
