ANDREW Tate spoke of his 93 days of suffering in a “Romanian dungeon” in an explosive interview with Talk TV’s Piers Morgan.
The disgraced influencer, 36, described his horror cell as “cockroach-infested” as he moaned about spending 24 hours a day holed up behind bars.

In the one-hour bombshell interview, which aired on Piers Morgan Uncensored at 8pm, the controversial figure claimed that for the first two weeks in Romanian prison – he had “no idea” what he had done.
He claimed that not a word of English was spoken to him after he had been thrown into jail, and he couldn’t translate any documents from Romanian to English until he was given an English translation a fortnight later.
Tate revealed he could only make out “human trafficking” before asking: “Human trafficking who? When?”.
He added he had been accused of “helping his friends get big on TikTok”.
“I have been constrained this entire year,” he complained.
“I spent 93 days in a Romanian dungeon, five months locked in my house, and now I am restrained within the country of Romania, so it has certainly been a turbulent time”.
The former kickboxer, known for sharing content that is considered highly sexist and seen as promoting violence against women, then recalled his time inside the prison.
“I did thousands of push-ups a day, every single day,” he said, in his typical macho rhetoric, while revealing he wasn’t in solitary confinement for the entire duration of his imprisonment.
Tate was often allowed to mingle with other inmates, and his brother Tristan, who also appeared on the show.
Both Tate and Tristan were released from the hellhole jail they had been held in for three months on March 31 on house arrest.
But the pair, who have dual US and British nationality, have now been formally charged.
They are awaiting trial in Romania on charges of human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women – allegations they deny.
Tate has also been charged with rape and Tristan has been charged with instigating others to violence.
On being in prison, Tate moaned: “I wasn’t allowed out, there was no yard time.
“It was 24 hours a day locked in a single room, probably three or four steps large, and you do nothing but stare at the wall and you think… Life is grim.”
Piers rapidly fired questions at the influencer and asked him whether he got emotional, or cried, during his time in prison.
“I am an emotional man, I think men are hyper-emotional, we just have to control it,” Tate responded.
“I was extremely busy inside of my jail cell. I had lots of push-ups to do. I was very concerned about the people on the outside. I was trying my best to get out”.
He claimed the question was difficult to answer as he had an “interesting frame of mind” while behind bars.
“It’s very difficult for me to go through life saying, ‘I’m the Top G, I am this, I am that’, and speak about mental resilience and mental toughness, and then the second I am thrown inside a solitary confinement cell, cower out. I am not that person,” he added.
“I am not a coward and I am not a liar.”
Piers Morgan simply continued: “So you cried?”
Tate snapped back: “There were tears that ran down my face, but I did not cry.”
After recalling the horrors of swarms of cockroaches that he and his fellow inmates would “kill for entertainment”, he boasted that he was treated well by others while holed up.
“Everybody in jail was extremely apologetic to me,” he claimed.
“All of the staff, the police officers, everyone who worked in the jail, the person who served me my meal, everybody was very sorry for what happened to me”.
Tate claimed that no prisoners or staff had a problem with the disgraced social media star, but recalled “a couple of scenarios where violence could have occurred”.
Piers asked Tate whether he was ever threatened while inside.
“I wouldn’t say they threatened me, but they would have liked to have got the opportunity to threaten me… And they realised that would have been a bad decision.”
Tate initially gained fame after a short-lived appearance on Big Brother.
He was dumped from the reality show after alleged footage of him beating a woman emerged online.
Since then he sparked revulsion and outrage with a wave of content online.
He then built up an image that appealed to teenage boys – creating an online empire that made him one of the most searched people on Google.
His influence has had a worrying spread amongst young men and boys, with one UK MP saying he is “brainwashing” children.
The influencer was banned from Twitter in 2017 for violating its terms of service with his controversial comments. However, his profile was reactivated late last year following Elon Musk‘s takeover of the platform.
Tate has previously referred to women as “property” and said they should bear “some responsibility” if they are sexually assaulted.
In August, Tate was banned from a range of other social media sites.
TikTok banned him for misogyny, while Meta said he violated their policies around “Dangerous Individuals and Organisations”.
He is also banned on YouTube.
Tate has denied accusations of misogyny and claimed that many of his clips are “taken out of context”.
