The incident occurred on easyJet flight EZY6607, which landed at Tenerife South Airport from Birmingham.
Air traffic control is said to have given priority to the aircraft’s approach to facilitate a faster arrival at the airport.
The flight to Tenerife was met by police and medical teams once it landed.
It all started in the final leg of the journey when the passenger allegedly urinated in the aisle, causing chaos in the flight mid-air.
No further information has been released regarding the passenger’s condition – and what happened in the aftermath.
Meanwhile, coordination took place with airport staff to prepare for the necessary interventions as soon as the plane touched down.
Local newspaper Canarian Weekly said: “The crew alerted authorities mid-flight about a passenger causing significant disturbance, prompting them to request police presence and medical support upon landing.
“In response to the call, air traffic control gave priority to the aircraft’s approach to ensure a swifter arrival at Tenerife South.”
Meanwhile, another easyJet flight was forced to make an emergency landing after passengers reportedly smelled smoke on board.
The plane was heading to Bristol Airport but had to be suddenly diverted to Turkey.
EasyJet confirmed the crew had encountered a technical issue during the flight which caused a “smoke smell”.
The Airbus A320 aircraft had left Paphos and was crusing at around 36,000ft when a smoke alarm went off.
The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing and head to an airport in Izmir just an hour and 20 minutes after it left Cyprus.
A statement from easyJet read: “We can confirm that flight EZY2902 from Paphos to Bristol diverted to Izmir due to a technical issue which resulted in a smoke smell onboard.”
It comes after a vile passenger who threatened EasyJet staff was slapped in the face by an airport worker.
Video taken at Manchester Airport captured a man with a cap shouting homophobic slurs and abusing staff members at the entry to the aircraft.
It is understood that he was denied boarding for being “disruptive and aggressive” which triggered the chaotic scenes.
The shocking confrontation saw the Easyjet flight from Manchester to Chania, Greece, delayed from taking off.
The man, who has not yet been identified and wore a grey jacket, shouted abuse at Easyjet employees, including homophobic slurs.
“You’re a ripoff artist, you’re a f***** – I’ll knock your f***ing hat off”, the man threatened as a flight attendant was seen trying to calm him down.
The irate man threatened another attendant with a “f***ing scrap” after being denied entry.
The video then cuts to a further confrontation with airport staff as the man gets more and more aggressive.
It is then that an airport worker in a hi-vis vest swings at his face with what appears to be a slap.
