THE full extent of the horror injuries suffered by a Brit mum in a devastating Ibiza taxi crash has been revealed – as her family faces a staggering bill to bring her home.

Lauren Holmes, 27, remains in intensive care after being mowed down alongside pal Ebony Cordingley, 26, during what should have been their final night on holiday.

Lauren’s friend Tyla Gray, who is organising a GoFundMe appeal, shared a heartbreaking update last night.

She revealed Lauren has suffered two broken legs, a broken arm, broken ribs, a fractured spine and a punctured lung.

The young mum-of-two is “conscious but very confused and sleepy” from strong medication, Tyla added, and will need surgery in the coming days when stable enough.

In her update, Tyla thanked supporters for their kindness, writing: “We are so overwhelmed by all the love pouring in, for every like, share, comment and donation.

“This has filled our hearts with so much love and give us all a little bit of comfort at this devastating time.”

So far, £4,137 has been raised of an £8,000 target – but loved ones say the cost of flying Lauren back to the UK could soar above £32,000.

Meanwhile Ebony, a mum-of-three, is now out of intensive care but remains in severe pain.

Her brother Kyle Marsden said she is awake and has managed to eat but is still struggling with her injuries.

“Ebony is now stable and has been taken out of ICU. She is awake and has eaten, yet she is still in tremendous pain but thankful to be alive and eager to see her boys,” he told well-wishers.

He added: “The road ahead will no doubt present further challenges, but without your generous help and support, we would truly be lost.

“On behalf of our family, thank you so much from the depths of our hearts.”

Her fundraiser has now reached £4,225 of a £4,500 target.

The two pals, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, were hit by a Toyota Corolla driven by a 24-year-old Spanish man on the El-600 Road between Ibiza and San Antonio in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Lauren’s mum, Bernice Ramsden, 47, told how the girls had jetted off for a four-night break when tragedy struck on what should have been their last night.

She said: “It was just supposed to be a little break. I found out what had happened when her friend phoned me and just said: ‘Don’t worry, there’s been an accident, she’s been run over. She said ‘don’t panic’ but I was panicking like hell, I was phoning people trying to find out what was going on.”

Lauren, who has a nine-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son, is now in intensive care at Can Misses state hospital.

Meanwhile Ebony, who has three sons, is being treated at the private Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic.

Family friend Ethan Hawks, who travelled with Ms Ramsden to Ibiza, previously said: “She can’t remember a thing, the last thing she can remember is going out for some food.

“Her younger son’s autistic so he doesn’t understand but her daughter’s just heartbroken. She just wants her home.”

Ethan added: “We don’t know what’s going on with the taxi driver, we don’t know if he’s been arrested, we don’t know if he’s insured.

“They said she could be in hospital for six to eight weeks if she has her treatment here. We asked about taking her home and they said it would be something like £33,000.”
