FOOTAGE of an American missile bouncing off a mystery orb shows weapons are useless against UFOs, a Pentagon insider said
The video, released in Congress on Tuesday, shows a U.S. Reaper drone launching a precision Hellfire strike at a mysterious glowing orb off the coast of Yemen – only for the weapon to appear to rebound and vanish into the waves.

Instead of being blown to pieces, the unidentified object kept on flying as if nothing had happened.
“This is some sort of technology that is making our premiere missile system completely and utterly useless,” warned former Pentagon insider Lue Elizondo.
“It is making it almost irrelevant. America has a problem right now.”
The jaw-dropping clip, captured in October 2024 but only just released, was played during a House Oversight hearing into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena – the government’s term for UFOs.
“This is a significant problem from a strategic perspective, from a tactical perspective, from a national security perspective,” Elizondo said.
He continued: “This video is extremely compelling and I wish more of these types of videos would be released.”
The footage shows an MQ-9 Reaper drone tracking the glowing orb before unleashing an AGM-114 Hellfire missile.
The Hellfire is considered one of the world’s deadliest precision weapons, capable of blowing up tanks, bunkers and terror compounds with pinpoint accuracy.
“It has such a degree of precision that we can literally fly it through a window and take out a bunch of terrorists,” Elizondo explained.
But against the bizarre orb, it didn’t even leave a scratch.
“That’s a Hellfire missile smacking into that UFO, and bouncing right off – and it kept going,” said journalist George Knapp, testifying at the hearing.
“What the hell is that?” he added.
Representative Eric Burlison, who played the video in the hearing, branded it “startling evidence.”
“A Reaper drone fired a Hellfire missile at this thing,” Burlison said. “And the missile didn’t seem to have any effect.”
He told the room: “I’m not going to explain it to you, you’ll see exactly what it does.”
The clip, zoomed in and replayed, shows a flash as the missile appears to make contact – but the object carries on, unchanged.
“This is when it’s zoomed out, you can still see it travelling,” Burlison said. “It kept going – and it looks like the debris was taken with it.”
Knapp insisted this was not a one-off.
“I have heard about events like this. I have heard about this event,” he told Congress.
“There are servers where there is a whole bank of these kinds of videos that Congress has not been allowed to see, that the public hasn’t been allowed to see.
“Occasionally, some of that stuff gets out in the wild and it comes our way, but it should be going to you. The public should be seeing this stuff, and why you’re not allowed to, I don’t know.”
“The public should be seeing this stuff,” he repeated.
But U.S. officials have refused to verify the Yemen footage. A Pentagon spokesperson told reporters: “I have nothing for you.”
Elizondo, however, spelled it out: “The Hellfire missile is one of the most sophisticated, most capable types of air missiles that we have.”
And yet in this video – America’s best weapon looks like it might as well have been a pea shooter.
“America has a problem right now,” he warned.
At the end of the hearing, Representative Anna Paulina Luna replayed the clip and asked panelists if they were scared by what they saw.
Every witness said yes – except Knapp.
He just smiled and said he was glad the video had finally been released.
