A CRUISE passenger got stuck on a see-through cruise ship waterslide whilst suspended over 100 feet above the ocean during Hurricane Erin.

Fellow passengers looked on in horror as the terrified female passenger was unable to move down the slide despite her frantic attempts to do so.

A video showing the passenger desperately grappling with the sides of the tube received thousands of comments from concerned users on social media.

Above visibly choppy waters, the passenger is unable to propel herself forward.

In a desperate attempt to free herself, she continues to squirm, but it is to no avail.

One viewer wrote: “My claustrophobia would not even allow me in that position in the first place. Sweet Lord, I cannot.”

Another added: “I’m starting to have an anxiety attack just from watching this.”

It is unclear which cruise liner this happened on, but the ship appeared to be Norwegian Cruise Line‘s Bliss.

The ship was on a seven-day, round-trip Alaskan cruise off the coast of Canada when the passenger got caught during Hurricane Erin, PEOPLE reported.

Ocean Loops is a double loop waterslide which forms part of the many attractions available on Norwegian Cruise Line ships.

The flume, which drops users through a trap door at the start, hangs over 11 feet off the side of the ship and 159 feet above the ocean.

However, this is not the first cruise slide calamity to befall a Norwegian Cruise Line passenger.

Last year, a separate rider got stuck in a different Norwegian Ocean Loops slide.

They were reportedly unable to pass the first loop, instead being flung backwards.

In a similar tale of woe, a Royal Caribbean passenger was injured after an acrylic glass panel broke off.

Footage of water escaping out of a hole in the slide was caught as passengers looked on, horrified.

One bystander screamed: “Stop the slide”.

Whilst the person using the ride did not fall through the hole left by the missing panel, they were still injured.
