THIS is the moment Hamas thugs handed over terrified women and children after holding them captive for 48 days.

The hostages stared into space as the terrorists freed them from their grips – leading them from blacked-out vans to Red Cross 4x4s.

Footage of the innocent women and children being released is hard to watch – with one woman even unable to walk on her own.

She could be seen gripping onto the Hamas terrorist as he carried her the short distance between the two vehicles.

A young boy, thought to be nine-year-old Ohad Munder, could be seen being led towards Red Cross medical staff.

He was freed alongside 12 terrified-looking women and youngsters – some of whom could be seen being carried to safety.

The innocent people were released after being held hostage for nearly 50 days, and will soon be reunited with their families.

Young Ohad could be seen looking bemused and scared as he was cuddled by a hooded Hamas fighter wearing a green bandana and combat fatigues.

The boy’s family had pleaded for him to be released in mid-October as they feared he would spend his ninth birthday in the Hamas’ grips.

Devastatingly, football-loving Ohad did just that.

A woman thought to be the youngster’s mum, Keren Munder, 54, was following close behind him.

More women and children also escaped kidnap hell today – with a terrified white-haired pensioner seen being physically carried by another terrorist from a vehicle to a waiting Red Cross 4×4.

The women and children looked frightened as they clambered into the vehicles.

The group made up of nine women and four young children are now back in Israel after being escorted out of Gaza to the Rafah border by the Red Cross.

People could be seen cheering as each hostage was placed in one of the 4x4s.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu‘s office confirmed on Friday evening that 13 Israeli hostages and 11 foreign nationals were freed.

He said in a video statement: “I emphasise to you, the families, and to you, the citizens of Israel: We are committed to returning all our hostages.

“This is one of the war’s objectives, and we’re committed to achieving all of the war’s objectives.”
