Where Does Dept. Q Season 1 Ended?

The first season of Dept. Q mainly follows a talented and emotional detective, Carl Morck. After he survives a tragic shooting incident, the department assigns him as the sole officer to lead a new team of detectives and uncover the mysteries behind unsolved cases. The department also assigns him a basement office, which used to be a bathroom, for his work. Season 1 revolves around a prosecutor, Merritt Lingard, who has been missing for over a year. The new team is made to solve the older unsolved cases to gain public support for the police force. Carl and his team decided to open and try to solve the case of the prosecutor, who most people believe is impossible to solve.

After digging deeper, they came to know that she had been kidnapped and held captive for years. In the last episode, Morck and his team locate Merritt and rescue her. The story gave a conclusion to the prosecutor’s case. However, the personal emotional trauma and past are still lingering on Carl. This is the reason why people were asking for the second season of Dept. Q.
