President Biden and his family, including disgraced first son Hunter Biden, attended a private Mass Monday in Delaware on the 51st anniversary of the car crash that killed the president’s first wife and daughter.

Biden, 81, and Hunter, 53, were joined at St. Joseph on the Brandywine near Wilmington by first lady Jill Biden, first daughter Ashley Biden and Hunter’s wife Melissa Cohen and toddler Beau.

The family visited the graves of Neilia and Naomi Biden following the service.

The family gathering on the anniversary of the 1972 crash, which Hunter and his late brother Beau survived, came as the elder Biden seeks a second four-year term in next year’s election — and as House Republicans investigate Joe Biden’s role in Hunter and first brother James’s foreign dealings during his vice presidency.

The House voted Wednesday to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry in order to give it added power to enforce subpoenas shortly after Hunter refused to appear for a deposition and instead gave a defiant five-minute speech outside the Capitol.

The White House said that the president was “familiar” with Hunter’s plans ahead of time, which could bolster a count of obstruction of Congress if articles of impeachment are drafted.

Republicans say that Joe Biden improperly boosted Hunter and James Biden’s business interests by meeting with their Chinese, Kazakhstani, Mexican, Russian and Ukrainian associates, who then allegedly paid the powerful family with little evidence of services being provided.

Democrats say that Joe Biden did nothing wrong and Hunter argued last week that some of his past actions were linked to his addiction to crack cocaine following the death of his brother Beau from brain cancer in 2015.

Joe Biden himself has steadfastly insisted he never discussed business or met with the foreign associates — despite photos and other records showing he did so.

In addition to the impeachment inquiry, Hunter is facing federal criminal charges for gun violations in Delaware and tax fraud in Los Angeles after walking away in July from a probation-only plea deal over courtroom demands for assurances of immunity for other past conduct, such as alleged violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which could implicate his father.
