WWE RAW (12/18/2023)

The Judgment Day congratulate The Creed Brothers on their big victory. While their title match will be the biggest match of their careers, it just another day for them. Rhea Ripley says they ran WWE in 2023, and they will do it again in 2024. After Dominik gets booed, R-Truth enters. He says that after the initiation last week, he is now in the Judgment Day. Truth was hurt physically and emotionally after that beat down.

He says DP didn’t mean it when he said he didn’t like him. JD McDonagh tells him to get out, or he will really get hurt. Truth says they should squash the beef so they can be a real family. Let’s do a Miracle On 34th Street Fight. McDonagh says it was already scheduled, and is happening right here, right now. R-Truth says this is a loser leaves Judgment Day match. Priest thinks it is a good idea.

#1. [Miracle On 34th Street Fight] R-Truth vs. JD McDonagh – Winner: R-Truth

Nia Jax is in the ring with a microphone. Before she can say a word, Becky Lynch interrupts with her entrance. Jax walks away from the ring, so Lynch asks why she won’t say what she wanted to. Nia says she was about to announce her entry in to the Royal Rumble. Becky Lynch reminds her the fans don’t care about that, but they may care that “The Man” is here and looking for a fight. Jax says they haven’t fought because they are afraid of what she would do to her. Nia says she is small and that she would break her face all over again.

Lynch tells Nia it is her who is afraid to fight, because then she would become known as the one who lost years after breaking her face. Nia Jax screams for a referee to get out here. Just as it looks like she will get in the ring, Jax backs out because Lynch wants it so badly. It will happen on her terms in her hometown of San Diego, in two weeks at Day 1. Nia says after their match, Becky’s daughter will ask her mother why she looks uglier than normal. The Man goes after her, but it backfires, as Nia leaves her laying.

Backstage, Kofi Kingston is dressed as Santa handing out gifts to DIY. Meanwhile, The Miz cuts a promo on Gunther, who he will face tonight for the Intercontinental Championship. If he loses, he will not be allowed to challenge for it again, for as long as Gunther remains champion.

#2. [Intercontinental Championship] Gunther (c) vs. The Miz – Winner: Gunther retains

Imperium congratulate Gunther on his victory. The champion says they have no reason to be jolly. He has been carrying this, and the past year has been a write off for them. Gunther will take some time off, and in the meantime, he expects them to grind hard to impress him. Kofi Kingston gives Ludwig Kaiser some coal as a present.

The American Nightmare Before Christmas, a story told by Shinsuke Nakamura. He is plotting to live out Cody Rhodes’ story. After some sick insults, Cody Rhodes attacks Nakamura and the action spills out in to the arena. Before Cody can hit Cross Rhodes on Nakamura through a table, a security guy saves him from it.

#3. [Women’s Tag Team Championship] Chelsea Green & Piper Niven (c) vs. Kayden Carter & Katana Chance – Winners: Carter & Chance become the new champions!

Ivy Nile tells Alpha Academy that she requested a match with Rhea Ripley. She wants to become a World Champion in 2024. Akira Tozawa reveals he also requested a big match, and his opponent is Ivar. Chad Gable tells Tozawa that when he said to go big, he didn’t mean this.

#4. Ivar (w/ Valhalla) vs. Akira Tozawa (w/ Maxxine Dupri) – Winner: Ivar

Seth Rollins shares a few words in the ring. After his little confrontation last week, he is feeling more motivated than he has ever been to be the best World Champion in this industry. Wait until we see what we do in 2024. He will defend his title at Day 1 against Drew McIntyre. Say what you will about him, but at Crown Jewel… McIntyre interrupts. Seth reminds Drew that he has not forgotten about that headbutt from a couple weeks ago.

McIntyre is here to tell him that he is proud. There are so many back there turning a blind eye when it comes to CM Punk. Rollins walked out and told him the truth, exactly how it needed to be said, and that is the mark of a real leader. He is on top of the world. Probably feels pretty good? Recently, Drew has been thinking about his family. He started to feel guilty not seeing them. After sixteen years he questioned if this is worth it. Rollins can relate to this. Becky Lynch sacrifices every single week away from her family, so he will be part of those conversations. All they want is to be there when their parents get old and sick, but suddenly they aren’t there anymore.

McIntyre doesn’t want the title. He needs the title to know the sacrifices were worth it. He is willing to hurt him to take that title away. Rollins wants to know that as much as he needs it, why does he think this time will be any different? Is he willing to cheat and lie, is that how he has changed? He is still the same because he shifts the blame. He will do everything it takes except for taking responsibility for his actions. The only person keeping Drew McIntyre from becoming the World Champion is Drew McIntyre. When he told that guy last week that he hates him, he feels different for Drew. He feels pity. Merry Christmas Drew. A fight kicks off between them, with McIntyre getting the the better of the World Champion.

Kofi Claus has a spring in his step as he looks to hand out gifts to the fans, but Imperium blindside him. Jey Uso makes the save, and then challenges Ludwig Kaiser to a match. After the break, the match has been made official.
