A leaked order guide mentions five trim levels, all of which will include all-wheel-drive in the Canadian market (the US may get FWD). Customers can get the Traverse Limited in LS, LT, RS, Premier, and High Country guise. Keeping the old model around alongside the new one is typically seen as a value play for buyers who don’t care as much about the latest features but want the best deal on a “new” vehicle.
GM has likely paid off the tooling for the outgoing Traverse, meaning it can keep building it cheaply and pass the savings onto customers. If pricing remains the same as last year, the Traverse Limited will start at $34,520 and top out at $52,000 for the High Country.
We don’t have pricing for the new model yet, but Chevrolet may decrease the price or offer attractive incentives to shift as many units as possible.
